Run it your way

What's your 5K?

Everyone shows up for a different reason. All of them count.

  • Chase a PR

Race yourself on a fast, flat course. Timed every week, so you always know where your fitness is.

  • First 5K

Start somewhere. We'll be cheering the whole way.

  • Walk It

No minimum pace. Take your time. A tail walker is always last, so you never will be.

  • Bring Friends

Make Saturday morning social. Stick around after and go get breakfast.

  • Bring the Family

Get outside and move together. Strollers welcome where the trail allows.

  • Volunteer

You don't have to run to belong. Help make it happen.

Community

Come for the 5K.
Stay for the people.

Fast or slow doesn't matter here. Showing up does. The runner chasing a PR and the neighbor walking their first 5K cross the same finish line, get the same cheer, and then stand around talking to the same people.

Friends running togetherRoommates, classmates, coworkers. Saturday turns into the standing plan.
Parents and their kidsOne pushes, one sprints ahead, one keeps everyone honest. All of them finish.
Walkers, talking the whole waySome of the best conversations in Provo happen at walking pace.
Finish fast, then cheer each other onCross the line, turn around, clap the next person home. Every week.
Volunteers cheering you homeScanning barcodes, calling out names, making sure nobody finishes to silence.
Hang out together afterThe 5K is the excuse. Sticking around, meeting people and cheering the last finisher in is the point.

Students and new arrivals

Your new Saturday morning tradition.

  • Grab your roommates.
  • Meet new people.
  • Run hard. Walk easy. Volunteer.
  • Stick around after.
  • Then go get breakfast.

New in town? This might be the fastest way to meet people.

You don't need to already be on a team, in a club, in a campus organization or in anybody's group chat. Same place, same time, every Saturday. Come once and you'll start recognizing faces. Come a few times and they'll recognize you.

How parkrun works

Register once. Come whenever.

  1. Register once

Registration is free and takes two minutes. You'll get a personal barcode.

    Register at parkrun.us →
  2. Bring your barcode

Printed or on your phone. Scan it at the finish so your time gets recorded.

  3. Show up Saturday

Run, walk, volunteer, meet people. Then come back whenever you want.

Your parkrun registration works at parkrun events around the world.

Families

Saturday mornings are better together.

Families and young runners are welcome. parkrun is built to be a positive, supportive place for people of every age and ability, where a seven-year-old's first finish gets exactly the same cheer as the fastest runner of the day.

Young participants should follow current parkrun policies on participation and supervision; the details are on the parkrun US site when you register.

Register the whole family

Volunteer

You don't have to run to be part of parkrun.

parkrun is powered entirely by community volunteers wearing very bright vests. No experience required, and simple instructions are provided. Many roles let you still run or walk the course too.
